sensational silhouettes

The challenge for A Passion for Papertrey blog is sensational silhouettes. I looked to sunsets for my inspiration. We saw an amazing red sunset on holiday that made everyone stop in their tracks to stand and appreciate the wonder of nature.
I used Ranger alcohol inks to create the background focal circle (cut with a spellbinders die) and then archival ink to stamp the bird on a branch from iconic images. The mat stack 3 die cut was then completed with versafine ink to stamp the sentiment.
The leaves were then die cut using the sizzix die flowers, branches and leaves. It needed a frame which is not drawn terribly well as I realised this after the card was made! Gloss card was used for the circle and the rest is PTI cardstock which is absolutely fantastic quality.
