Make It Monday #64: Using Color Inspiration

This card differs from my original sketch design. I was going to add purple die cut leaves and a fillable frame but I am awaiting a delivery for those products.  I used my daughter's colouring pencils to colour the beautiful poppies which were stamped in versafine smokey gray. Most of the stems are left grey like the inspiration picture I selected.

This feels like a maths curse... I have tried to obey Nichole's rule of 3!!!
Purple 1. stem on tag 2. poppy in background 3. stem in background
Yellow 1. flower in background 2. button centre 3. faux stiching around the tag
Pink 1.ribbon 2.die cut birds 3. poppies in background
Red 1. die cut flower 2 and 3. poppies in background
I enjoyed engaging my brain for this challenge and like the card I have made. I'm far too PTI addicted.

  1. Hi Victoria! Thanks for visiting my blog. I love this tag! Your background coloring is remarkable as well. Nichole gave us quite a challenge this week, didn't she? Applying the rule of threes to five colors is in the advanced category for me!

  2. Your card is beautiful! What PTI set is this with the poppies? Your coloring makes them look soft and romantic. Good luck with the MIM and blog hop maybe in the future it would work for you to do a card kit. Thanks for letting me know. I am so addicted to PTI too! Isn't it FUN!

  5. Great tag card and use of the inspiration colors. You picked the one that would be the most challenging to me, I think.
