Make It Monday #65: Background Patterns From Patterned Paper Scraps

This challenge utilises 5 pieces of patterned paper to create my background. The patterned paper is by Craftwork Cards, it was given away with a magazine which I bought just to get the paper pack. These green papers are scraps and to tell you the truth I didn't think I would use them. I love the background and  will definitely use up other pieces of patterned paper like this again.

The sentiment is from the half and half stamp set. I used scissors to cut a slit into the middle of the card and then cut from each side into the middle to give it the trendy banner end. The leaves were die-cut in new leaf using a Sizzix set: flowers, branches and leaves. The flower was die cut in melon berry from Bloom Builders #3 die. A vintage button and button twine finished it off. The berry sorbet and new leaf cardstock are a perfect match to the background colours. It is all on PTI white cardstock, folded to standard A2 size. The background mat was cut to 31/2" by 4 3/4" and adhered with foam squares (like Dawn's).
Thank you for stopping by. I am always inspired by Dawn McVey ( I love her style). Have a great week.
