Anniversary card

This card was inspired by Maile Belles. The Sweet Life die-cuts are placed along the bottom of the card so that they appear to be floating. I cut the cardstock by 1/2" at the bottom. If you fancy making a card like this click on her name and the link will forward you to her tutorial.

I found The Sweet Life roses, it's a 3 step stamping set, quite tricky to line up but I'm sure it'll be easier with practice.

Strictly Come Dancing and Downton Abbey have returned - yeah! We have also had some big spiders coming into the house so a friend has recommended conkers for prevention. I had not heard about this before but as soon as they are ready I'll give it a go. Apparently you place them near doorways and windowsills.

Supplies used:
Stamps and Dies: Papertrey Ink The Sweet Life
Cardstock: PTI vintage cream
Inks: PTI simply chartreuse and new leaf (for the leaves), summer sunrise and harvest gold (for the roses)

  1. I love this card! You reminded me that I made a card using the same colours and stamps - better get on and blog it!

  2. What a pretty card. I love the look of those roses floating at the bottom. I have that set, and haven't used them nearly as much as I planned. Too many stamps and not enough time. Love them in the yellow, though.
