Owl I want for Christmas is you!

(side note) I can't believe I've made my husband's Christmas card in October!
I decided to enter this card for the Papertrey Ink challenge this week:the inside edition. I've been wanting to use the Woodgrain Impression Plate on stamping for sooo long! I've seen so many fab cards using IP's and was not disappointed with the results.

I stamped the Lawn Fawn Winter Owl images (so cute) in momento ink and coloured with the few pro-markers I own then ran the cardstock through my Big Shot using the IP. I loved the result but couldn't leave it there so added a scarf (double sided adhesive sheet with Stampendous fun flock added on top) to add texture and some stickles to the hearts. I die-cut the branch and then added foam adhesive behind it all before placing it on Enchanted Evening cardstock.
This is the inside:

Thanks for any kind comments.

Other supplies used:
Dies: PTI Fillable frames #4, MFT branch and leaves
Ink: Versafine Vintage Sepia, Momento Tuxedo Black

  1. Oh my--I am pinning this! It is so adorable. I love how you made that scarf so cozy. I recently got that owl, and haven't inked him up yet. Super idea to stamp those hearts around the sentiment, too.

  3. Look at you , now you have that crossed off your list of things to do. Yippee! I love the card and the wood embossed background is wonderful. I do love that one. Your owl is adorable with that scarf on it. I knew Joyce would love this one, she is who I think of when I see an owl. Grate job!
