Save the date!

I received a wonderful save the date card during the week to my cousin's wedding(big smile). I love weddings. I wanted to make an engagement card and then realised I have no stamps with 'congratulations on your engagement,' so decided to be a little inventive.
I couldn't resist recently buying Lawn Fawn's Check This Out stamp set. It has a 'save the date' stamp so I decided to create a library card using this association for the front of the card. Papertrey Ink have a library pocket die and I was looking at the post and thinking I can make that using my score board and really liked Nichole's vellum pocket so went with that.  The background paper is my favourite from MME The Sweetest Thing paper pad.

The inside of the card uses more of the pp that was cut down from the front and my handwritten sentiment was finished over and under with the flourish stamp from the Sweet Life PTI stamp set(can you tell I've been watching the PTI new release countdown?) I am entering this card for this weeks MIM challenge: the inside edition. This has encouraged me to make an effort with the inside of the card!

Thanks for any kind comments. Have a wonderful day.

  3. What a fun card. Very clever use of the library card and die. Love how you found something to use over and under. I need to try that, too.
