Inktense pencils and Tim Holtz water brush

I've seen Derwent's Inktense pencils on Jennifer McGuire's blog lately and when I noticed they were made in England thought I'd have to investigate how much they cost. I bought a set of 24 and because they are from England they weren't expensive. (More often than not I like craft items from America).
Starting with a PTI kraft base, my favourite cardstock, I stamped the Hero Arts floral swirl vine image in versafine onyx black ink and then clear embossed it.
I was kind of cross, my 1 month old Miele washing machine packed in yesterday and they aren't coming to fix it until 6 days time, so when the pencils were delivered they provided some relaxing therapy! The colours don't look amazing until you add the water and then they become really vibrant. I recommend the Tim Holtz water brush for watercolouring - it's fabulous. I added the PTI script sentiment, 'just because', and was happy with my one layer card. My daughter has spent many a happy hour drawing and watercolouring so I can't wait to show her these fantastic pencils.

Bye for now and thanks for any comments.

  1. What a pretty card. Those colored pencils look amazing. I think I need to get some of them! We have Prisma color, but these look much more intense.
