Make It Monday #100: How to Package Cards with Oversized Embellishments- Lilli's birthday

Lilli is celebrating her 9th birthday with a party that my daughter is invited to. When I asked her Mum what she would like for her birthday she told me Lilli loves shopping in Build-A-Bear workshop. (My daughter likes shopping there too!) So I bought a gift card and normally would have been dismayed at the thought of wrapping the gift card, as it's non-standard shape, but the shop-assistant placed it in a paper bag and I immediately thought this is perfect for this week's MIM challenge!
This is the card I made:
It's your day and you should celebrate in every way! Is stamped in Raspberry  Fizz
I used the Tim Holtz blending tool to swipe Fresh Snow ink around the edges of the card to soften it.
This is the gift card and paper bag:
And this is the card and gift card in the embellished paper bag:
This packaging has been heavily influenced by Dawn McVey (ha-ha). I love how she makes presents look special. I used an ordinary hole punch to make the holes for the ribbon.
Thank you for any kind comments. Have a wonderful week.

  1. Wow--you are really rocking this challenge. We have Build a Bear here, and I remember when my youngest had her birthday party there. Good to see some things don't change. Your card and gift is sure to be the most stylish one there. Love it.

  3. What a great idea, love how you re-used the bag. The little tag and card match perfectly. I honestly have not even used my Zipper die yet, forgot I had it! Love how you added it to the card! Thanks for sharing!
