Make It Monday #102: Pillow Box Stamping and Assembly

The pillow box die is on my wish list but Ashley fortunately posted on the Papertrey Ink forum that if you don't have the die you could make your own box. So I used my MS score board to make a box for the first time.
The box matches the fabric my daughter has chosen for her bedroom blinds. That was nerve racking walking into shops thinking I hope she chooses something I like! I don't know why I worried because I love the fabric she chose.

The turning a new leaf set was stamped in aqua mist ink onto vintage cream cardstock. I added a Tim Holtz ornate plate to the top - I found the mat stack 3 sentiments fit into this perfectly. 'Just for you,' was stamped in dark chocolate ink.
I stamped the base and lid. This is a picture taken before I added scor-tape and assembled the lid.
I think my daughter would love it if I added Ferrero Rocher chocolates into the box. You could probably fit 4 in here.
Bye for now. Thanks in advance for any kind comments.

  7. Victoria this is perfect - love the soft colors and the book plate adds an elegance to it. Your daughter picked a wonderful fabric for her room - I've definitely held my breath & crossed my fingers when letting the kids pick bedding & paint colors :)
