Mother's day card

It's Mothering Sunday on the 10th March in the UK. One of the cards I've made was inspired by this week's MIM glitter trim challenge for Papertrey Ink. I stamped The Sweet Life roses onto watercolour cardstock and then used the TH water brush to make the inks blend and look softer.

I glued my glitter trim (heart border die) first and then decided to emboss the leaf using The Sweet Life dies onto the cardstock - with hindsight it would have better to have done this first because the heart border is embossed on the front too.

I'm looking forward to breakfast in bed next Sunday! Thanks in advance for any wonderful comments.

Other supplies (all papertrey ink unless specified)
Stamps: fillable frames #4
Inks: Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Simply Chartreuse, Momento Angel Pink, Versafine onyx black, smokey gray

  1. This card is so beautiful. I love how you did the roses. And, I never knew what to do with that pretty squiggly thing, and now it seems so obvious.

  2. So pretty! The embossing of the leaves is such a great idea. I'm going to have to try that. Thanks for the inspiration!
