Make It Monday #114: Blown Ink

I'm being brave posting this entry- my daughter wrinkled her nose and her father told me it looks like a 2 year old has splatted the background!

I decided to use my very underused alcohol inks on gloss paper for the straw technique. I have red, yellow and blue so mixed by dropping two at the same time to make the secondary colours.
I thought the sentiment 'like a rainbow....you colour my world,' would match the colour explosion background. I'm writing the rest of the sentiment on the inside of the card with my English spelling of colour!
Well there is one thing I can say.....it's a unique card!!!! I also can't stop using sequins now as they seem to add the finishing touch.
Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Very very cool. I need to try this. It kind of looks like some form of very modern art.

  4. Those primary colors look great together.
Looks like art. Somewhere in a museum, there is a painting similar to your card.

  6. Good for you to post it, in spite of your family's comments! Lol! I love the idea of mixing the primary colours (note the spelling, there--grin), and I think I will try this on glossy paper, as well.
