Thank you set of cards - Ruby Rose

I wanted to gift a friend with a set of cards. This friend was particularly kind and brought me back some crafting goodies from her holiday to America. I was excited to get my hands on the Ruby Rose stamp set and dies along with inks to add to my collection!

For design inspiration I turned to the square framed images card Maile Belles made. She used die-cuts and I decided to combine masked stamping and die-cuts to add dimension. The fiskars stamp press enabled me to stamp a couple of flowers at a time onto the card. I liked the design so much I went into mass production!

Using the packaging the stamps arrived in I was able to fit 2 thank you and 2 birthday cards along with 4 envelopes. Hopefully she will like them! It took some explaining what stamps and dies were! My husband thinks I'm crazy to have even asked but I'm cheeky enough to try my luck.

Now I have some dies that are open; I stamped the images first and then die-cut the flowers using the Sizzix magnetic platform. This is so much easier.

I'm entering this into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where this week anything goes. I'm determined to win that $50 prize!

Thanks for any comments.

  1. Love the squared off design Victoria! How great to get your hands on PTI goodies - I have to check out stamp stores wherever I travel and my kids have learned that "give me 5 minutes" might mean a half hour stop if I get lucky. Thankfully dies & stamps take very little room and add very little weight to your bags.

  2. So smart to have a friend shop for you in the US. Your cards are lovely. I had forgotten that design--it really is a good one, and your soft color scheme is really pretty.
