MAKE IT MONDAY #337 – PACKAGING WITH PRINTED PAPERS

Using Shakers & Sprinkles patterned paper and the star die from the kit I jazzed up my husband's birthday present packaging. The *open me* stamp is from Marby and Elm a letterpress shop I came across in London recently. To my delight I could see the lady letterpressing as I looked through the shop window. I went back and bought this stamp along with a bottle of ink and wooden handled ink pen. It's been fun to write with an ink pen like the one I used at school many years ago. This is the shop front: I also played around and made a Christmas tag. Won't be long! Love Victoria

Baby card - Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop

After looking at this month's inspiration, over on Nichole Heady's blog, I ended up making a striking baby card using the gold lettering against smokey shadow card. It really stands out...the family receiving this card definitely won't have another like this! We've had occasions when we've received the same card from different recipients. from an angle: So I have this month's blog hop to thank for inspiring this card because I enjoyed the challenge. Marvellous Monograms

This card was made for Papertrey Ink's marvellous monograms blog hop challenge. I found a fabulous website that has freebie monogram printables, for personal use, and used PTI's alphabet dies to personalise the design. I was thinking I could create this by stamping with the 2013 anniversary set so as soon as I get the set I'll give it a try. I coloured the birds with my first copic marker T1- wow, they are good! The final touch was a glittered heart cut from the heart border die. I mounted this onto an A2 Enchanted Evening base with thin strips of Aqua Mist to frame it. I'm really happy with this wedding card for my cousin. I look forward to joining the blog hop later. Thanks in advance for any wonderful comments. Bye for now.
