partial die stamping

This weeks MIM challenge over on Nichole Heady's blog is partial die stamping.

This was not my first attempt! I thought I could line up the die cut by eye and stamp but it turned out tilted and although I love tilted images just didn't look right. So I got out my Tim Holtz ruler and after stamping run it through my die-cutting machine (magnetic plates and post it tape on top).

A few sequins were added for the cascade trend then it hit me that if I had made this a shaker card with some gold glitter inside that would have made the card even better. Never mind!

It's not my Niece's birthday until December and there are plenty more before that. I blame it on the other MIM entrants....I saw some awesome holly cards.

Have a fun filled Halloween night tomorrow.

Love
Victoria

  5. This was worth the effort to line everything up, Victoria - it looks fabulous (and I might borrow the shaker idea with this die).

  6. It's still a beautiful card even if it isn't a shaker card. The sequins are a perfect finishing touch!

  7. The thumbnail caught my eye from Nichole's blog. I would never have thought of combing this die with a holiday set. So creative!

    Thanks for sharing!
