Starting from the above picture for inspiration I knew I needed to make a birthday card.
I had some lovely roses on blue background paper so glued it to some cardboard packaging and then die cut my message using Papertrey Ink Block Alphabet Die Collection. I used text speak to play with the great/eight.
My daughter was puzzled so I hope Lily realises the U is you, R is are and gr8 is great! I ended up peeling off the lower case r and changing it to an upper case R to make it clearer. This is my amended card photographed next to my lovely cake stand ( it is similar to one of the fabrics):
I love roses and I also love afternoon tea. Scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam=yum! My Dad is coming this week to bake some with my children.
